      Tottenham’s Adebayor Battle

Emmanuel Adebayor has been one of the shining lights of a brilliant season for Tottenham but the Mancester City loanee could well be the subject of a battle from Europe’s top clubs this summer according to The Sun on Sunday.

The big striker has scored 13 goals on loan from the Etihad this season and Roberto Mancini has said the £24 million striker has no future at City.

The Togo international could be in the middle of an auction between a number of top clubs for his signature according to Mancini.

“Adebayor is playing well and I am happy for him. He’s a good guy and a good player and I am happy,” said the Man City boss.

“If at the end of the season he wants to stay at Tottenham they will buy him, or another team will. There are a lot of teams that want Manu.”

City currently have Edin Dzeko, Mario Balotelli, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero on their books and Adebayor has scored more than Tevez and the same as Balotelli and Dzeko but a return is unlikely.

“At the moment, no” when asked about a return “because we have four strikers and it’s impossible for this.”
