Oakwell exit door beckons for Preece

Keith Hill, the Barnsley manager, has said that he will not be offering goalkeeper David Preece a new contract in the summer.

The shot stopper is currently on a 1 year deal, which will expire in the summer, when he has to find a new club.

'David has been a superb professional and a good team player, but we won't be offering him a contract at the end of the season,' Hill said to The Star.

'I've had discussions with David and he understands the decision.'

The Tykes have no plans to bring David Button to South Yorkshire either, according to Hill.

'I don't think we'll be able to afford David unfortunately, so finding a new keeper will be one of our aims.'
