Taylor U-Turn leaves Ferguson feeling Blue

Peterborough United manager, Darren Ferguson admits that Paul Taylor is set to leave London Road in the Summer.

The former Anderlecht striker fired Posh to a 1-0 against Midlands rivals Leicester City on Saturday, after it had emerged that he had turned down the offer of a new deal at the club.

The result saw United move 10 points clear of the drop zone, but many focused on the revelations of the English striker.

Ferguson said: 'Paul has been offered a contract better than anyone else but he has decided not to sign it.

'He sees his future being in the Premier League and we have to respect that decision.

'He scores brilliant goals like that in training all the time so it was no surprise to see him do something special in a match.

'Mathematically we are not quite safe yet and we have to ensure we retain our focus to finish the job.'

All this comes barely a week after Taylor had hinted that he may sign a new deal at London Road.
