Fryatt caught in warring theories

Welcome to round 412 of the bout between “reading-too-much-into-things” versus “no-smoke-without-fire” in stories surrounding footballers’ personal lives and subsequent rumours regarding that footballer’s future prospects and career moves.
This round focuses on Hull City striker Matty Fryatt and speculation that he could be set to leave the Championship club, rumours that Fryatt himself has strongly denied.
Coming under the “no-smoke-without-fire” umbrella is the fact that it has emerged that Fryatt has put his house up for sale.
However, the “reading-too-much-into-things” argument is put forward by Fryatt himself who cites family issues for his desire to move home.
The 26-year-old told BBC Radio Humberside; “I had a third child recently and it's difficult for my wife when I'm away so she wants to move closer to the family home. It doesn't change anything for me, it just means I'll have to travel more."
Which sounds pretty reasonable enough all things considered but, then again, he would may well say that to as to hide his intentions. It’s all so confusing this amateur psychology; one can see why we’re in round 412 of the battle between the two competing theories.
Fryatt, who was part of a seriously good England U-19 team back in 2005 (really, check out that squad), has been at the KC Stadium since 2011, knocking in 20 goals in 64 games in that time and notched the 100th league goal of his career in the Tigers 2-1 win over play-off rivals Middlesbrough on Monday.
