Navarro concentrating solely on the present

Alan Navarro has said that his thoughts are occupied only be the present, and that his representatives have not held any talks with the Seagulls about extending his current deal.

The midfielder was released in the summer, but earned a 1 year extension having been invited back to train with the Sussex outfit.

The 30 year old is anxious to avoid a repeat of last year, but understands that doing his talking on the pitch is his best hope of earning a new contract at the AMEX Stadium.

'There have been no discussions yet' he said, speaking to The Argus.

'As a player you are always wanting to know what your future is, I'm no different to anyone else'.

'I haven't personally really thought about it that much. I'm just concentrating on football, because after what happened last season you just don't know what is going to happen'.

'Hopefully this time around I am in a better position and it will sort itself out'.

The Englishman has scored 1 goal for Brighton this season, a last minute winner at Elland Road.
