Mancini plans raid on German giants

Not content with hia vast array of international stars that pack his midfield, Roberto Mancini his looking to tie up a deal for two of Bayern Munich's biggest stars.
The Manchester City boss is preparing a bid for Toni Kroos, a 22 year-old playmaker who confirmed his place in the Bayern Munich starting line-up last season after a successful 18-month loan spell with Bayern Leverkusen.
Kroos also became a regular in the German international sie last year, starting the vast majority of his country's Euro 2012 qualification matches.
It is understood Mancini made a personal trip to see the youngster in action in the Bundesliga (the hard life of a manager eh?).
Whilst in Bavaria he also ran the rule over Argen Robben, an explosive, world-beating winger on his day but with an horrific injury record.
Bayern would be unlikely to let both players leave, but may be tempted if City come in with an enormous offer for one of the stars.
