Manchester City target Neymar not leaving in January

One of the most repeated questions in 2012 has to be where the Brazilian starlet's career path will take him next, and the suspense is set to be extended even longer as he makes claims that he will not be making a move in the January transfer window.

Not the news that Roberto Mancini will have wanted to hear as he lounges in front of his fire eating leftover turkey and watching Only Fools and Horses.

Manchester City decided to send their director of football over to Brazil to make a visit to Neymar in order to ignite contract talks, only for the 20-year-old to declare his happiness in Brazil and slam the door firmly in the representatives face.

After having a somewhat disappointing time of late, crashing out of the Champions League and sitting 7 points behind their 'friends' over in the red half of Manchester, Mancini is desperate to rekindle some of the form that crowned them champions in May of this year and he sees the floppy-haired wonder kid as the solution to his problems.

However, at the moment and explained to TV Bandeirantes: "I am happy at Santos, with my family, son and friends, so it is not the moment to leave".

Never mind Roberto, you still have Mario Balotelli to rely on... Oh.
