You need to up your bid!

Arsenal have recently snubbed a bid made by Galatasaray for their left back Andre Santos, as they believe the bid was far too low.

The Turkish made an optimistic bid of £2.5 million to Arsenal but the Gunners have said that the bid would have to be doubled to ensure that £5 million of the £6.8 million they spent on Santos was recouped.

Santos joined Arsenal last year and much was promised of his attacking and defensive left back ability, but eventually Santos has turned into a bit of a flop for the Gunners.

What may have made matters worse for Santos was when he took Robin van Persie’s shirt off him at half time when Arsenal were losing to Manchester United earlier this year. Normally player swap shirts at the end of the match but obviously Santos got his priorities mixed up and wanted United’s star man to give him his shirt at half time.

There appears to be more misery at Arsenal as Marouane Chamakh is likely to leave the Emirates in January, although this would appear to be good news to fans, long term target Klaas Jan Huntelaar isn’t likely to come to the Premiership as he wants to stay at Schalke.
