Reading look to Arsenal misfit

When Russian billionaire Anton Zingarevich took ownership of Reading last summer, we were told that he would be wise with his spending and cast the net wide for new signings.

His major purchase to date? Pavel Pogrebnyak. Now the Sun are linking the Royals with a move for Arsenal's outcast (and yet record signing, er what Arsene?) Andrey Arshavin. Where are those two players from again? Ah...I see.

Perhaps Zingarevich was impessed by Arshavin's performance for Arsenal in their 7-5 victory over Reading in the League Cup last week. Certainly, if Arshavin could look hungry and committed against the Royals, it suggests that they are a very struggling side indeed.
