“Come and join me Gareth” paraphrases Modric

It's usually frowned upon when managers talk about players they wish to sign, some kind of unwritten rule that every manager seems to break for the pure reason that it is unwritten and then everyone kicks up a fuss about it anyway.
However, there seems to be no kind of rule for players to tap up fellow professionals and Luka Mordic has utilised this rule to try to sway Gareth Bale to join him at Real Madrid according to The Sun.
Modric has claimed that if Bale joins up with him and plays alongside Cristiano Ronaldo in midfield, Madrid would be unstoppable.
The Croatian states that Bale has told him he wants regular Champions League football which Spurs might not be able to offer him.
Modric has said that Real Madrid would be the perfect fit for Bale to achieve his dreams and would compliment Ronaldo perfectly.
Modric joined Madrid in a £33million deal from Spurs in the summer after a controversial saga and a similar move would probably provoke the same kind of anger in North London.
Bale has been linked with moves in the past to both Real and Barca and a friend at Real could be an extra lever, as every rumour goes.

fcuk off rat boy, what's the matter? no one to talk to on the bench?
I'm sure that Modric was prompted into making a comment about Bale, would he be allowed to call a press conference just to speak about Gareth Bale? The only people linking Bale with either Real Madrid or Barcelona is the Spanish press, it's then picked up by the British press and the song and dance goes on from there. Truth of the matter is, Bale has very recently committed himself to Spurs and may I remind you, he isnt Croatian or from a war torn region in the Balkans where players are mercenary and money grabbers. If Gareth Bale wants to go to Madrid and be a bench warmer like Modric is as opposed to being a star, then he would be foolish even to consider it at this stage of his fledgling career. Complete non story that's been regurgitated from the Summer and updated by the Spanish press.
