    There's no place like home

Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas has extended his loan spell at boyhood club Nottingham Forest until the start of January.

Jenas made a smart move at the start of season to join Forest on loan as he realised that he would have very little opportunities to start at Spurs with the amount of players available in the midfield department.

Although Jenas has been plagued with injuries his 30 day loan has now been extended until the January 2nd and so far he has only played 13 minutes of football. He has made four substitute appearances for his former club and has scored 1 goal in that period.

Jenas has enjoyed being back at home in Nottingham and at first it took time to fit into the squad, as manager Sean O’Driscoll had a vast amount of midfield talent to choose from but now the former England international is a vital part of the Midlands club’s plans.

O’Driscoll is full of praise of Jenas as he believes the loanee has improved his fitness over the months and his experience on the big stage has helped the younger members of the team.

While Jermaine Jenas is at Forest he is able to get first team football when he is fit and the chance to enjoy his football in familiar surroundings of his home city, rather than sitting on the bench at Tottenham and risking being left in the shadows of the club.
