Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is planning on blowing his January transfer budget on Theo Walcott.

The Arsenal winger is in the middle of a tussle with his club over a new contract and Rodgers sees January as the ideal opportunity to spend his £10 million kitty, say The Daily Mirror.

January will mark the two year anniversary of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez’s arrival on Merseyside, Kenny Dalglish spent a combined £57 million on the duo.
