Loan-star Lukaku happy at West Brom

Romelu Lukaku is confident that he will be staying at West Brom for the rest of the season despite the fact that becasue of mis-firing strikers and the continuing managerial merry-go-round he may be needed at Chelsea.

He has told the Wolverhampton Express and Star that "I am very happy to be here for one year."  Clearly enjoying his loan spell in the west midlands and relishing the chance to play regularly the 19-year-old Belgian wants to stay for the year but no longer.

Maybe he could only find a house with a twelve-month lease or perhaps no matter how much you're paid no-one wants to stay for too long in West Bromwich (I've never been, I'm sure it's delightful).

It is thought that with the majority of the scoring duties falling to the barren waste-land that is Fernando Torres, Chelsea may activate the release clause in the loan contract forcing Lukaku to return to Stamford Bridge in January.

With four goals in eleven games Lukaku has been a hit at the Hawthorns and has helped West Brom to third in the Premier League.  With four wins in their last four games West Brom are the form team in the league.

Could the youngest of the Belgian legion in the Premier League get the Baggies into Europe and perhaps be tempted to stay there?  Anyway, in the form that West Brom are in why would he want to drop down the league and join Chelsea?
