      Eagles swoop for Ollie

A bit of a weird one, no?

If you’re a chairman of a club and you’re manager is being linked with a vacant post of a side that finished 12 places below you in the previous campaign, surely you’d feel comfortable that he would laugh off the whispers?

      Think again.

The Independent is reporting that Ian Holloway could be named as the new Palace boss as soon as the weekend, with his luminous band of tangerine backroom staff following the Bristolian to the capital.

Ollie led pool to the playoff final last season, only for the glory of the Premier League to be snatched by Sam Allardyce and his sneaky bunch of Hammers, whilst Palace were lingering near the foot of the table.

However, this time out the Eagles have flown up the table with their current crop of young talent, passing Blackpool, who are now dropping quicker than the big dipper, on their way to 4th place and Ollie is supposedly ready to pack up his chickens and head south.

Croydon or Blackpool pleasure beach, I’m not sure which is worst.
