Owls Might Miss Out On Wickham

Connor Wickham is in limbo.

Championship club Sheffield Wednesday had hoped to secure the England under-21 international on an emergency loan deal but the Sunderland Echo report The Owls could still miss out.

Wickham has made just one appearance this season, against Everton last weekend, and Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill has hinted at loaning his young forward out to a Championship club.

O’Neill may think twice with an injury doubt over top scorer Steven Fletcher.
