Reading wasn’t Pogrebnyak’s only offer

Pavel Pogrebnyak has recently revealed that he snubbed a move to Saudi Arabia before joining newly promoted Reading on a free transfer.

On a subject he doesn't “really like” he commented that a Saudia Arabian side had offered him a pile of money to ply his trade in the Middle East however felt he had plenty more to offer in the Premier League.

Pogrebnyak first impressed with a short spell at Fulham last season and has since scored 4 goals in 8 league matches for the royals maintaining his goal every two games strike ratio in England.

Reading certainly will be hoping to survive the drop to keep Pogrebnyak’s head turned away from richer clubs…
