Malouda's Chelsea downward spiral continues

Just when Florent Malouda thought that things couldn't get worse for him at Stamford Bridge, the Metro are reporting that the man currently training the club's youth team such is the club's desire to get rid of him, has seen a potential move to Brazilian side Santos dashed.
It seems as if the Santos hierarchy came to the realisation that Malouda was not the superstar signing to keep the much-coveted young forward Neymar out of the clutches of Real Madrid and Barcelona until the 2014 World Cup at least.
It must seem unbelievable to some that Malouda was once voted as Chelsea's Players' Player of the Year for the 2009-10 season double-winning season under Carlo Ancelotti. Then again, he was kept out of the Champions League final starting line-up by Ryan Bertrand last season. Which is rock bottom?
