City to try again for Italian midfielder?

Hell hath no fury like man scorned and it appears that Roberto Mancini is not taking no for an answer where Daniele De Rossi is concerned. Indeed, despite being knocked back several times over the course of the summer transfer window, the Manchester Evening News reports that Mancini, much like a desperate lovesick teenager, will make renewed attempts to persuade the Roma midfield man to come to the Manchester City in January.
Did Mancini never watch or read High Fidelity? You can't just pursue and pursue, in the end it just gets creepy. Indeed, were this to be an occurence on the street, De Rossi would be tempted to take out a restraining order against the City manager.
This is football however and perhaps Mancini just believes (some would say rightly), that if you ask again and again (particularly by offering more money), you can get anything in life.
