Bolton star primed for Serie A switch

Bolton could lose star man Gary Cahill to Inter Milan in January.

The Nerazzurri are rumoured to be preparing a bid for the England defender when the transfer window re-opens in January.

The centre-back’s contract is set to run out at the end of the season, and with moves to both Tottenham and Arsenal failing to materalise in pre-season the 26 year-old could be in line for a move to Italy.

Cahill could be available for, in theory, a knock down price as the Trotters would face losing him for free next summer anyway.

And with Euro 2012 around the corner, a move to the Italian giants could give the former Aston Villa man the chance to shine in the Champions League ahead of the Championships.

Would Cahill move abroad, or will another club in the Premiership snap him up?
