    Promoted trio find their feet

Since the formation of the modern phenomenon that is the English Premier League in 1992, the trio of Queens Park Rangers, Norwich City and Swansea City have just eight seasons of top-flight experience between them, prior to this season. Of those nine, four belong to QPR and four to Norwich, with Swansea flying the Welsh flag for the first time during the current campaign.

    Weekend Predictions

Whilst unbeaten at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea haven’t exactly lit up the league on their away travels having lost all four of their games away from home with the most recent defeat coming at Carrow Road last week against fellow Premier League new boys Norwich.

Not the glorious return we wanted, but the return we needed...

Manchester United earn all three points after going down to a dodgy goal. Joey Barton and Alex Song find themselves reigniting an old flame. Arsenal still look wasteful in the final third. And Fernando Torres still looks way off that £50 mark despite his best efforts this weekend.

    Premiership Review S - W

Having attracted much praise during their relatively brief stay in the Championship for their free-flowing style of football under the tutelage of three different young managers, Swansea City finally achieved their top flight dream last season via the play-off lottery.

    Welcome to 2011-12

It always feels like the longest 10 weeks in history when the football season’s finished. Just what is there to do over the summer? The only thing to read about is transfer rumours dreamt up by the club’s tea lady, or how your favourite stars sandcastle skills seem to be dwindling to say the least.

    Bright Future at the Emirates?

Luton Town. Swansea City. Doncaster Rovers. Carlisle United. MK Dons. Crawley Town. Birmingham City. Darlington. What do these eight clubs have in common? They have all won a trophy in the past six seasons; something that Arsenal have failed to achieve in that very same time period. This is the team that has invested nigh on £100m in their current squad, and is recognised as the third greatest team in English football history. Has everything gone badly wrong?

Promoted Sides Planning To Stick Around

For the majority of last season the Championship was a one-horse race, with Queens Park Rangers, under the guidance of Neil Warnock, sealing a return to the top flight for the first time in 15 years. Once dubbed “the richest club in the world”, Rangers should be looking to add the vital experience and quality needed to maintain their status in the Premier League. However, as of yet there has been limited activity in the transfer market with failed moves already for the likes of Danny Graham, Steve Morison, and Craig Mackail-Smith, although interest has re-opened in terms of bringing the latter to Loftus Road.
