Can Tevez do a Law and devastate the Red Devils?

A certain brewery don't do derby games but if they did this Mondays would probably still out do theirs! Certainly no one can think of a more important Manchester derby game for some time with City spanning the 1980's and 1990's in relative oblivion while their neighbours prospered.

Season set for a frantic finale

In the past few weeks we've yet again been witness to more twists and turns on the road to being crowned Premier League champions. The fact the contenders are fierce city rivals only adds fuel to the fire.

121 years ago City beat United in a Cup Final, no history?

Ok so technically it wasn't Manchester City against Manchester United but it was both their previous incarnations with Ardwick AFC (City) beating Newton Heath (later United) 1-0 in the Manchester Senior Cup on this day 121 years ago. And they say we have no history!

A short poem about the Citizens

Everyone know where they were on this last year? I do, I was biting my nails, restless. I was on the chair then pacing the floor then neither on the chair nor floor as City faced off against Manchester United down in London

Tevez back into the swing of things

Too little too late? That's what Roberto Mancini says about the title race but finishing strongly was again the main focus when visiting Norwich at the weekend. Carlos Tevez started his second game with Balotelli suspended and the mis-firing Edin Dzeko now seemingly relegated to fourth striker.

Why David Silva’s form will decide a title

After making a big money move to Manchester City from Valencia two seasons ago, many had only heard of David Silva as being David Villa’s partner in crime as the two used to tear through La Liga defenses for fun.

City close gap after Baggie bashing

Manchester City went into the game against West Brom with absolutely no pressure on them, with most people in the footballing world already assuming that United had won their 20th title, and to be fair they may very well have but after Wednesday nights games Sir Alex is going to have to check his rear for squeakiness!

City v Ipswich 1981 (Semi Final)

It was the 100th running of the FA Cup and was a competition that City were still in. On this day in 1981 City would again travel to Villa Park to play the Semi Final game against Ipswich. In both the 1955 and 1969 competitions City had to travel to Villa Park for the Semi Final. Unlike those last two times, City would not be the ones lifting the Cup in May, but that is a different story.

A look back at the City's first piece of glory

Five years after Ardwick had been dissolved and reemerge as Manchester City the blues would lift their first piece of silverware, the Division 2 title.

City still have a part to play this season

If you'd have asked a City fan at the beginning of the season that they wouldn't get their first league defeat until December I think that few wouldn't have ripped your arm off at that point for that kind of deal.

The season belongs to the red half of Manchester

They've got 3 stars on their shirt and I don't know what they mean, because City are a massive club.

The 10 most bizarre injuries seen in football

Manchester City are quickly dropping out of the title race and matters haven’t been helped by the enforced absence of star striker Sergio Aguero. The Argentinean forward is missing through injury, but the club won’t disclose the cause of the problem, merely describing it as ‘stupid,’

Forget the British media, City fans must not fear

To be a football manager in the day and age certainly is no easy task, just ask Roberto Mancini. Calls for his head were deafening less than a year into his tenure and although at the moment the stadium going fans are behind him, there is a under current of discontent with the Italian's job

A starting 11 almost certain of a title win

This is a good one. A Manchester team combining the best of both United and City. I am going to go with a 4-1-3-2 combination. Let’s look at the various positions:
