    Karma Sides with Pardew

A little over a year ago Alan Pardew was wandering around the managerial wilderness, still coming to terms with the fact he was not in tenure of a side he had brought a trophy in the cabinet, a top ten finish (made even more impressive by the significant points deduction granted at the start of the season), and a sense of stability.

An Appreciation of Liverpool FC 2001

A few days ago, a friend happened to mention our famous team of 2001; the team that won five trophies in a year and beat such teams as Barcelona, Roma, Bayern Munich and Man United on the way – maybe controversially, but beat them all the same

Maaaan City - Founded In 2011 (At Least In America)

So when did Manchester City finally cross over from “wannabe” contenders to a proper force in English football?  Was it the arrival of the Arab Sheikhs? The first big deadline-day swoop (Robinho)?  Qualifying for the Champions League?  The realisation they don’t need Carlos Tevez?  Or the recent derby demolition at Old Trafford?

Is English Football More Focused On Entertainment Than Ever Before?

This season has seen an unprecedented level of high-scoring ‘big’ matches in such a short space of time. This borne out by the fact that the average amount of goals per game is 2.97, compared to 2.59 this time last year.

Liverpool’s New Signings – The Story So Far

So, we’re a quarter of the way through the season, early season blues or lack of match sharpness are no longer an excuse, and we can start to really evaluate what we’ve seen so far. To that end, here’s my verdict on Liverpool’s new signings. I’m not including Suarez or Carroll in this for obvious reasons, nor Coates or Bellamy due to a lack of game time.

Liverpool cruise it, Hodgson looses it

The gutsy win in midweek against Stoke seems to have given Liverpool a great deal of belief. The depth in the squad, although not as strong as it could be was evident as Liverpool kept up their cup momentum with the likes of Jay Spearing, Maxi and Sebastian Coates all taking part in the fixture. Well done to those guys for coming in and doing the team proud.

    Kuyt a statistic

Football is full of quint little facts. Some that make you question whether things are really all about fate, whether coincidence and karma are more facts of life, rather than misplaced belief in the unlikely. However, the one i'm about to reveal will make many with a Red heart a little uncomfortable.

    Play on Suarez

Since the pint-sized Uruguayan flashed up on the radar of many Liverpool fans, he has been greeted by what is beginning to feel like a continuous standing ovation. Most, myself included, would have known very little of the forward prior to his explosion onto the hallowed turf at Anfield.

    Suarez Row Damages Reputations

There is a theory in life, that anyone accused of a crime remains innocent until proven guilty. This though is something many forget to uphold in all aspects of life, and something both Patrice Evra and Luis Suarez may be beginning to realise.

I Like Gary Neville – Who Knew?

As a Liverpool fan, the last person I or anyone else would expect me to be commending is Gary Neville, given his history in Man United – Liverpool games and just for the fact he was a United player, and I must admit when I heard he was to be a new Sky Sports pundit for this year I expected him to be pretty poor to say the least - but actually the truth has been far from it.
