Arsenal: Sign Benzema, Move Podolski Into A Central Role And Offload Bendtner In Order To Freshen Up Attack

If Arsenal had another top striker at the club last season, I think they would have challenged the top two, Manchester City and Liverpool, for the Premier League title. As it was, the Gunners fell short and ended up clinging onto fourth spot and the Champions League football that comes with that. One man who would have certainly helped them in their quest to the top, is Karim Benzema of Real Madrid.

The France international is currently impressing at the World Cup in Brazil and has been linked with a move to the Emirates for some time now, and in my opinion should be Arsenal's number one target this summer.

Not only would he bring goals to north London - he scored 24 last season for Real Madrid and has already bagged three goals in two games for France in the World Cup.

To accommodate Benzema's potential arrival, I would let Nicklas Bendtner leave the club on a free as his contract expires this summer, and move Lukas Podolski into a central striker position.

The Germany international has the pace, the natural ability in front of goal and most importantly the proven record as a striker.

Podolski has scored 28 goals in 69 appearances for the Gunners, primarily from the left flank.

In short, I would let Bendtner leave the club, move for Karim Benzema and stick Podolski in a central position. Arsenal fans, what do you reckon?

Nonsense. Podolski is not quick. Joel Campbell will be returning, You can't just throw names at it. Poor quality journalism.

Where have you been the last couple of months... Bendtner already left

That would be excellent to see iv always rated Benzema as a quality striker

Seriously? No one is going to stop Bendtner from leaving, so not sure why you even mention it in this story.

Benzema is not going to leave Real Madrid.

The only strikers worth targeting is Falcao (but will cost at least 55mil and probably 250k+ per week in salary) or Balotelli at around 30mil and probably 150k per week.

I think I would rather Balotelli and Remy to be signed as new strikers to the team.

Who the hell wrote this crap.

Are you a 13 year old boy trapped in a dungeon where you receive news as often as England win world cups?
Bendtner has gone, Podolski is not good enough to play in the centre, Benzema is not leaving RM. David Cameron is PM, The Queen is still alive, There is a black president in America and Osama Bin Laden is dead.

Stop playing fifa & wasting everyones time writing this rubbish. You should be revising for your GCSEs.

    GOOD DAY.

Benzema looks a bit lazy to me in most cases. I'd rather have a stronger, resilient and pacy striker.

when you read "off load Bendtner" whose contract already ended, you know that the writer of this article is a non-starter.

When I read the title "...offload Bendtner..." What???? Where have you been mate?

Benzema needs the service, he's not too likely to run his socks off creating chances. Remy, and Campbell would make good back-up to Giroud. I'm surprised Wellbeck hasn't been mentioned as an option too.i bet its crossed Arsene's mind.

Remy and Balotelli or Jackson Martinez...podolski should be offloaded as well as cazorla and get draxler on the left to take his place.
