Arsenal To Move For Tom Cleverley? Why Wenger Should Know Better, Especially After Snubbing Former Gunner

Arsenal fans beware, this article contains some information that you might not want to hear. The Mirror are suggesting that Arsene Wenger may be ready to negotiate a deal with Manchester United for Tom Cleverley, who, to put it politely, is not the most inspiring choice of midfielders - especially when the club supposedly turned down the chance to sign Cesc Fabregas before his switch to Chelsea.

It seems a bit of a joke to me, as an Arsenal fan. Fabregas is one of the most inventive players in Europe, created the most chances in La Liga over the past two seasons and already has an exceptional relationship with the fans.

    Or should I say had.

Tom Cleverley, on the other hand, failed to claim a single assist last season for Manchester United despite playing almost 30 games and created just 10 chances.

He was also the focus of a petition to ban him from the England World Cup squad which picked up 17,500 signatures.

Fabregas would have improved the Arsenal midfield - there is no doubt about that. He notched 13 La Liga assists and scored eight goals, which shows how much of a gulf there is between the two.

It would really be rubbing the salt in the wounds of us fans should we move for Cleverley after letting Fabregas slip through their fingers.

It was crazy not to sign Cesc, especialy with out injury-prone midfield. It would have lifted the whole club to get him back and at a reasonable price in the current market. Cleverly I'm not sure about.
