FOOLISH: Why Manchester United Should Not Pull Out Of Chase For Toni Kroos

According to reports, Manchester United have pulled out of the running to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos. To me, that seems like a foolish thing to do. The Germany international would be the perfect acquisition for the Red Devils and would go some way to plugging the hole in midfield. Here's why Louis van Gaal would be making a mistake should he pull out.

Kroos is one of the most impressive players in Europe when it comes to retaining the ball and that's exactly what United need in van Gaal's system.

While he and Michael Carrick pick the passes and keep the ball moving, the likes of Juan Mata, Adnan Januzaj and Shinji Kagawa can penetrate the opposition and leave Wayne Rooney and van Persie to clean up in front of goal.

Kroos played 29 Bundesliga games this season and completed 92% of his passes, created four assists and averaged 1.8 shots per game.

He also spreads a sense of composure into the sides he plays for, as we saw in the Champions League this season.

This video will explain it without words, but Manchester United would be foolish to pull out of this race.

Hahahahahahahaah hilarious. Anyone believing Van Gaal “pulled the plug” because he didn’t want him anyway are the most gullible of all football fans. What is next? “he’s average anyway”? LOL CLASSIC United. Obviously Kroos just isn’t interested – simple truth. But we obviously have a need to fabricate misleading articles like this to soften the blow for United fans so they can continue to live in denial. Anyway what happened to the academy products in the last two decades? Fletcher, Evans, Wellbeck, Janujaz. I thought United gave youth a chance? Put your record £200m transfer window budget away. Promote your youth, after all your club is built on that philosophy right? Just like spending prudently and rarely and of course the great tradition of standing by managers? oh wait...
