Timing Of Arsenal Star's Return Is Perfect For Gunners

There comes a time in every players career when they begin to reflect on what they've achieved and what the future holds for them. Some will of course be pleased with their history but others will be left with a sour taste in their mouths as they reflect on a past that hasn't seen them reach the heights they would've liked.

For a player who has spent the last six or seven years with injuries in every part of the body you can think of, you'd imagine they'd have a lot of what if's'.

Abou Diaby is that kind of player. A player that will have doubts about their future. A player that has demonstrated that he has, or had, the ability to reach the very top of his profession. Despite having a career wrecked by injuries, he has recovered from his latest problem that kept him out for nine months; the Mirror reports. The Frenchman actually played 45 minutes for Arsenal's U21 side in the week and came through unscathed.

The timing of Diaby's return is actually perfect for him and the club for a couple of reasons.

The first reason is that it's almost the end of the season and there's plenty of players that can play in the 27-year-olds position therefore Diaby can be eased back into the team. If he was to link up with the team in the middle of the season then he would probably have to feature a number of teams because of squad rotation.

Arsenal have four games remaining, including the FA Cup final, it's not like Diaby has to feature in any of those games. Then he has the summer to really improve his body and begin the 2014/2015 campaign strongly.

However, the return of the injury prone midfielder will bolster the options in midfield for Arsenal in their push for Champions League football and an extra option for the Gunners FA Cup final. He's definitely a talent that will bring a different qualities to the team.
