Tottenham MUST Keep Hold Of Eriksen - Here's Why

Tottenham Hotspur must keep hold of Christian Eriksen as Tottenham continue to keep their distant dream of finishing in the top four alive. The 22-year-old has been one of the few signings made in the summer that has gone on to have an excellent debut campaign at White Hart Lane.

The Dutch international has risen to further prominence in April with a string of fine performances which included a man of the match performance in Saturday’s 3-1 win at home to Fulham.

Eriksen is the type of player that Tim Sherwood needs to build his team around. He is still young and yet plays with maturity beyond his years.

He appears to be able to lift his game when others are struggling and he has single-handedly turned games on their head this season.

According to his manager, Eriksen has a tremendous work ethic and this will help set an example for others to follow.

Last season’s superstar Gareth Bale was sold to Real Madrid last summer and Spurs must ensure Eriksen remains in the white shirts of Tottenham next season. Spurs are not going to be short of offers for the attacking midfielder and will no doubt be offered sums of money much higher than the £11.5m that they paid Ajax.

It is imperative that Spurs resist these bids and then rebuild for the 2014/15 Premier League campaign.

    Danish... not Dutch...

obviously.. anything new / interesting to say....?

Danish is correct. Sherwood, unless some unexplained disaster of biblical proportions is visited on us tottenham fans, will be gone.
What interests me; is why so many people spend so much time trying to sell our players? If they're not doing that they are telling us how we can save ourselves, telling us why we should do this and that, or they're informing us of some other unsubstantiated report vomited from the minds of so called media outlets.
I think it is stating the obvious that we hold on to our best players.
    COYS.

Spurs are not 'holding on to' players. A pathetic way to talk about players and clubs when all parties come to an agreement and sign on the dotted line. 'Must hold on to' would be a needy thing to do, and also tries to bring into the club-player relationship an element of coercion. It is an aggressive form of writing and way of thinking.
