Manchester United Renew Interest In £37m La Liga Midfielder - Player Report

David Moyes worked hard to sign a central midfielder last summer to fill the void left by Paul Scholes. His efforts landed Marouane Fellaini, which to most Manchester United fans wasn't good enough. One man who Moyes supposedly missed out on was Athletic Bilbao playmaker Ander Herrera, but reports are suggesting that the former Everton boss has renewed his interest ahead of the summer. But what could he offer?

This season the Spaniard has played 28 games in La Liga and has accumulated a pass completion rate of 81%. He takes up the role in the middle of the pitch but loves to push into the gap behind the centre-forward, and also into the slightly wider areas.

He has five assists to his name and three goals, but it is the way he keeps the ball moving that is impressive.

He averages almost 50 passes per game and makes an average of 1.6 key passes per outing.

Ander would slot in nicely beside Michael Carrick and would provide some much needed energy.

For me it's a no-brainer - If Ander is available then I expect to see Moyes doing all he can to secure a deal for him.
