THREE Arsenal Players Who Should Be Dropped After Humiliating Loss To Liverpool

Those who sat down to watch today's early kick off will not have been disappointed. Unless they were affiliated to Arsenal that is. The Gunners travelled to Merseyside to take on fourth place Liverpool looking to stretch their lead at the top of the Premier League table, but things didn't go to plan for the capital side.

Liverpool's home form has been notoriously strong this season and they stunned the Londoners with two goals inside the opening 10 minutes from Martin Skrtel, and another from Raheem Sterling in the 16th minute.

Arsene Wenger was understandably livid, but it only got worse as Daniel Sturridge made it four on the 20 minute mark, and Sterling got his second of the game shortly after the break, making it 5-0.

It wasn't something that was expected despite the strength of the Reds' side, and the travelling fans were not scared to voice their frustrations. It was a sluggish performance by all accounts and there were plenty of reasons for the loss, and although they did pull a goal back through Mikel Arteta, the 5-1 thumping has left a sour taste in the mouths on Gooners across the country.

Liverpool were wonderful to watch but Arsenal were woeful. Here are three players who I would drop if I was Wenger, on the back of this display.

Although I agree we were woeful, Liverpool were given the softest decisions, Gerard should be sent of for two blatant yellow body checks if not straight red, the Liverpool first goal was clearly off side. Talk about dive at the meaerst touch, also the linesman only found the flag in the second half (4 nil down then a bit late)

Also I should add the blatant holding of Sanga's run on the second Sturrage as the defence, Giroud being blocked by Toure as he went in to head on goal after Mertasaker's flick on to the back post which would have been a sending off strait red. Don't wan to go one but I could.

Why is everyone overreacting so much. Lets not forget this is 1 game, what about the performances leading into the game. If it was a succession of 2 or 3 poor games I would understand dropping someone but it quite simply is not, its 1 off day where everything went against us. The only player for me who is close to being dropped is Ozil, but I dont think we can afford to because his assist & key passing stats would suggest he is making a positive difference.
