Arsenal: Offload Bendtner And Look To Sign Bundesliga Pair

When you look at the Arsenal attack and lack of depth that Arsene Wenger has available to him in terms of strikers, I find it amazing that they are sat on top of the Premier League table. They may only be a point ahead, but they're still top.

While Manchester City have Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, Alvaro Negredo and Stevan Jovetic, Liverpool have Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, and while Manchester United have Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez, Arsenal have... well, Arsenal have Olivier Giroud.

They do have Nicklas Bendtner in reserve, but he's unlikely to make a massive difference, and I would even suggest that the north London club offload him at the end of the season. In his place I would bring in two top class forwards, and there are two names I have in mind.

The first is Max Kruse, who is currently at Borussia Monchengladbach. He's not an out-and-out striker like Giroud, but he is a flexible player who can lead the line efficiently. He drifts into the wide areas and his movement would bring the best out of the Gunners' attacking players who would be sitting around me.

The second player is Mario Mandzukic, whose place at Bayern Munich will be under threat from Robert Lewandowski who comes into the club in the summer. The Croatia international is a real goal-getter and has scored 14 goals this season while showing that he is one of the most talented forwards in the game.

So, in short, I would offload Bendtner and look to sign the Bundesliga duo of Mandzukic and Kruse.

Definitely agree with your suggestions. Bendtner is capable of plenty, but he seems to have regressed in the last couple of years. Time for a parting of ways.

Mandzukic is a fantastic striker, but Bayern are unlikely to want rid of him. If Arsenal want him, then they'll have to pay through the nose for such a big name. And that's not proven to be Wenger's style, historically.
