No Ozil? How Arsenal Should Line Up Against Sunderland

After falling to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Arsenal fans will be expecting a much better result against Sunderland on Saturday. There may be a bit of a reshuffle in the team as they look for fresh legs, so here is how I would start against the Black Cats.

Despite his dismissal against Bayern in the week he has to be between the sticks, he is their best keeper after all. I would also keep Bacary Sagna on the right of defence and I expect Kieran Gibbs to be replaced by Nacho Monreal.

In the middle Per Mertesacker will be beside Laurent Koscielny as they continue their impressive form.

In the middle of the pitch I would stick Mikel Arteta back in the mix and have Jack Wilshere playing next to him, as there will need to be plenty of energy to boss a solid Sunderland outfit.

I would drop Ozil, or rather rest him, and stick Santi Cazorla in the middle just behind the striker. I'd have Lukas Podolski on the left flank and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the right as he has been a massive influence in recent weeks.

I would have to give Yaya Sanogo another start up top as he impressed me this week, and keep Giroud fresh.
