Chelsea: Sign Italian U21 Star With 10 Goals In 14 Games And Get Rid Of Current Crop

Jose Mourinho is a man with experience in the Italian topflight. He won numerous trophies while in charge of Inter Milan a couple of years ago, and although there isn't any Italian influence in the current Chelsea side, I would suggest it's about time there was.

Not because he's Italian, but because of this player's talent. Chelsea's attack has looked limp this season - an attacking trio of Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o have mustered just 11 Premier League goals between them this season, with six coming from the latter.

So, in order to fix this for next year, I would suggest getting rid of the current crop - Ba isn't good enough, Torres is too injury prone and Eto'o is not getting any younger - and bring in a fresher, more physical forward.

The man I put forward is Ciro Immobile of Torino, who has scored 13 Serie A goals in just 21 games. The 24-year-old has previously played for Italian giants Juventus and is a regular in the Italian under 21 side - scoring 10 goals in his 14 appearances.

He's a strong player who likes to throw his weight around but he's also notably quick on his feet. His composure is that of a player with twice his experience and his attitude is second to none.

For me he's worth a punt and I'd like to see him at Stamford Bridge next season.
