Arsenal Star Believes In Title Hopes - But Will Fickle Fans Be Their Downfall?

When things are good at the Emirates they are very good, but when the tide turns the Arsenal supporters seem to have very little patience. Despite the numbers the Gooners are a fickle bunch in my experience and can often be the downfall of their form as it piles so much pressure onto the side. I'm not slating the fans - they pay their money so can do what they want, and after so many years without a trophy you can probably understand why they're vocal with their displeasure.

Anyway, there is one man who believes in the Gunners and how they are performing and that is goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

The big Polish shot-stopper has been in fine form this season and has kept more Premier League clean sheets than any other in the division, and his confidence in his team-mates is high.

The reports in ESPN quote Szczesny saying that he believes the squad has the mental strength to win the Premier League title, but I can't help but feel that their fans may see them slip up.

Their reaction to their 5-1 loss to Liverpool sparked abuse towards their own players and they were equally as frustrated with the 0-0 draw with Manchester United, and you just wonder what will happen if the Gunners slip up against lesser opposition.

Arsenal fans, how do you feel about your chances?

Arsenal fans are not fickle. Most realised our season would fizzle out about now, especially if Wenger failed to strengthen the squad in January. Most of us are fed up with Wenger's stubboness and the high cost of supporting a team that never wins anything.

For instance, we can't win anything with one proper central striker! Giroud is physically and mentally exhausted and Wenger seems to be the only person who didn't see this coming. How are fans supposed to react to Wenger bringing in a loan player to cover for injuries when the loan player himself is going to be out injured for at least 6 more weeks?

A lot of Arsenal fans are absolutely fed up with the way the club and the team are run - that's not being fickle.
