THREE Manchester United Players Who Disappointed In The 2-1 Loss To Stoke

Well, after Manchester United splashed the cash on Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata and starting him in an attacking trio with Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, last season's top scorer in the Premier League, they fell to a 2-1 loss at Stoke City today. Yes, the same Stoke that had never beaten United in the Premier League and who started the weekend in the bottom three.

It was the last thing David Moyes needed. The former Everton boss had been under such heavy pressure up until the signing of Mata, but the arrival of the Spain international saw some fans breath a sigh of relief. After all, he has collected the Chelsea Player of the Season trophy in consecutive seasons.

He was the saviour according to many. He was the man who would come in and save the Old Trafford club. It may not be that simple though.

Charlie Adam opened the scoring at a breezy Britannia with a well-taken free kick and effectively won the game with a rasping strike. Between the Scot's two efforts van Persie struck his ninth league goal of the season, but it wasn't to be for Moyes' men.

There were a handful of United players who didn't pull their weight during the 90 minutes, but here are the three that caught my eye and who I feel should be dropped after their display.

The trouble with Moyes is that even the most savi football pundits have no idea what he's trying to achieve(the layman has no chance), occasionally that can mean genius but not in this case..

Please believe me, sell Rooney bring in a world class established striker, who can hold the ball, skillful and with good shooting technique. The problem with United is apart from RVP there are no other reliable goal scorers (except Hernandez but most unfortunate not given enough games and resulted in him getting rusty)
Like Kagawa, Mata position is the no.10 and now plays out of his natural position and like Kagawa sooner or later he shall be out of place in the United team.
If Moyes wants to keep Rooney, then buy 2 goal scoring skillful, holding midfielders to win games when RVP is injured or off form.
    Remember, goals win games.
