Could A Manchester United Loss Tonight Cost David Moyes His Job?

Manchester United travel to Sunderland tonight in what could be a huge night for both teams - United have lost their last two games and are in trouble in the Premier League, sitting seventh, while Sunderland sit bottom of the league and will look to the League Cup as their only chance of silverware. A home win could also spell trouble for David Moyes, as he has lost four of the last six home games United have played, and the fans have started to grumble.

It was always going to be difficult to replace Sir Alex Ferguson  - the man was one of the greatest to ever enter the game, and United fans have stayed faithful, to their credit. But enough is enough and they don't want to see their team fail.

It would be a different story if the losses had come away from home or even against bigger opposition, but they have lost to the likes of West Brom, Newcastle and Everton this term, something which hasn't gone down well. They have also lost to Liverpool and Manchester City - their two greatest rivals, and a loss to bottom of the league Sunderland could tip them over the edge.

The fact that it could be their only chance of a trophy this season could also enrage fans - they are 13 points behind Leaders Arsenal and out of the FA Cup, while the Champions League looks unlikely for the Red Devils.

Lose tonight and things will look very, very bleak. But would it spark the dismissal of David Moyes?
