33 Key Passes, 7 Goals: Manchester United Ready To Splash Out On Midfielder, But What Could He Offer David Moyes?

David Moyes seems to be ready to stamp his authority on Manchester United in the transfer market, as the Mirror are reporting that the former Everton gaffer is lining up a record move for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal. For me, being a Manchester United fan, it is like music to my ears, as I have seen him on numerous occasions this season and think that he is exactly the type of player we need. Here is how I see it.

For the last year or so, Vidal has been the standout player in Serie A for me. In a midfield of Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba and himself, he has been the one to sparkle, and if you consider the calibre of the other two then that tells you something.

The Chile international has so much energy and so much bite in his game that he gels everything together and allows the more agile players to play their natural game.

So far this season Vidal has played in all 17 league games for Juventus and scored seven goals. It's not his goalscoring that he has impressed with, though, it's the creativity that he exudes when on the ball.

He has made 33 key passes so far this season, less than only Carlos Tevez in the Juve squad, and completed 83% of his all-round passing.

He is exactly what United need right now. There is blatantly something missing, and the all the attributes that they should be looking for sit in Vidal.
