Could Napoli Creator Be The Solution To Manchester United's Midfield Problem?

The deeper a club's history, the more expectation there is on said club - that is usually how it pans out in football. Manchester United are certainly a club with a history, arguably one of the most successful in world football, and that seems to be causing them a few problems this season.

Out went Sir Alex Ferguson, one of the most glittering managers ever to be employed in professional football, and in came David Moyes, who had won nothing. The Scot inherited a title winning side, but there was an evident hole in the middle of it after Paul Scholes retired.

To fill that gap, everyone has a differing opinion of who Moyes should be looking to sign. The Daily Star suggest that the potential solution is Napoli's Marek Hamsik, who would very much get my seal of approval. Not that anyone at the club needs it, of course.

The squad is crying out for a creative outlet to sit in the advances position and connect the midfield to the strikers. Shinji Kagawa has never really got going and Wayne Rooney's desire to start up top has seen a gap open up - one that needs to be quickly filled in my eyes.

Hamsik is a player who could do just that, as he has the technique and the vision to carve defences with his through-balls and his slick passing. Though he is unlikely to offer much defensive cover, United have Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher and Marouane Fellaini to do that, as well as Tom Cleverley, so I say full steam ahead.

This clip may tell you a bit more about the Slovakia international.
