      Top5: Championship Players With The Most Key Passes Per Game

      The Championship is often labelled the most exciting league in the world as a result of its unpredictability and reputation of throwing up shock results. Anybody can genuinely beat anybody and it's a real pleasure to watch. There are two horse races for promotion, with three in about 12-15 teams in with a real shot of promotion. Here we look at the top five players in the English second division in terms of key passes per game.

      1) Almen Abdi  - Watford

      The Swiss playmaker tops our list with an average of 4.2 key passes per game from his five appearances. He has made21 in total, as well as making 306 in general. He also has three assists.

      2) Andy Reid - Nottingham Forest

      Written off by many as a chubby has-been, the former Republic of Ireland international has been in fine form this season so far. In his eight appearances he has averaged 3.1 key passes per game.

      3) Grant Leadbitter - Middlesbrough

      Another one who has dropped from the Premier League, Leadbitter has averaged 2.9 key passes per game, while making 422 passes in general.

      4) Joey Barton - Queens Park Rangers

      The man we all love to hate, Joey Barton has averaged 2.8 key passes per game. Although he is yet to claim an assist so far in his eight appearances, Barton has averaged over 58 passes in general per fixture.

      5) Alan Judge - Blackburn

      Having made four starts and two substitute appearances, the Irishman has averaged 2.7 key passes per game, as well as boasting a pass completion of over 83%.
