Manchester United Set To Rekindle Interest In £31m Midfielder

It was all a rush on deadline day for Manchester United. They did manage to secure a deal for Belgium international Marouane Fellaini, but they supposedly missed out on a number other targets, including Ander Herrera. But fear not United fans, the Daily Star are reporting that the club will rekindle their interested in the £31m-rated midfielder when the January transfer window opens.

    Happy days.

With the questionable tactics throughout the summer window it has been suggested that David Moyes will take a different approach this time round to ensure that he gets his targets.

United supposedly bid around £26m for the Athletic Bilbao midfielder but the pair ran out of time to complete a deal, despite the best efforts of a group of people who were later exposed as fakes, but the bookmakers are confident that the 24-year-old will get his move in the new year.

The Spaniard progressed through the ranks at Zaragoza before joining Bilbao in 2011 where he has gone onto make 89 appearances for the club. There is supposedly a £31m release clause in his contract that the Old Trafford outfit are willing to pay, so if all goes well then the Red Devils could have a very tasty, late Christmas present.
