What You Need To Know About Alharbi El Jadeyaoui - The Moroccan on trial at Arsenal (Video)

Two reasons why the trial Alharbi El Jadeyaoui to Arsenal is slightly odd. The first reasons is that Arsenal are trialling players rather than buying, which isn’t exactly exciting the fans. But what’s stranger is that the player on trial is 27 years old. Now, if the player was in his late teens or early twenties then fine, he can be considered to be a potential gem as he is young and has time to develop. But this El Jadeyaoui chap is 27 years old! Most players would be expected to be in their prime of their career at this age and would also expect to be bought rather than offered a trial. Nevertheless, a trial has been offered and complaining about this is not the point of this article because most of us, including me, need to know more about him.

A basic internet search of his name will bring up various websites which will all tell you that is his age, and where he plies his trade in France - Ligue 2 outfit, SCO Angers.  A little bit more research will tell you that he can play across the front line, but his main position is just behind the striker in an attacking midfield role. An even deeper search will reveal that the player wasn’t in bad form last season, notching up four goals and assisting a further ten. Was this just a fluke season though? Well yes, yes it was, because since the 2009/2010 campaign the player never really completed a solid season of consistent performances.

He has spent his whole professional career in France, spending time with clubs such as Guingamp, Stade Brest, Tours, Chateauroux and AS Beauvais - not exactly a sparkling career.

YouTube isn’t really the place to gain a good understanding of a player as you should be looking at expert opinions but seeing as there aren’t many of those around, then it is acceptable to pass judgement on this player and his ability. However, I will always say be prepared to proven wrong.
