    The One That Got Away From Manchester United - A Look At Paul Pogba

    I've got two words for you - Paul Pogba. After Manchester United let him go the young midfielder has sparkled in Serie A, so we have taken a closer look at the France international.

    The star-in-the-making began his career in 2009 at Old Trafford amongst the youth set-up but was striving to gather Sir Alex Ferguson's attention for the first team. He eventually made the senior side in 2011 but could only muster 3 appearances before the Red Devils announced that Pogba will not be renewing his contract and will be plying his trade elsewhere.

    Italian giants Juventus quickly snatched the youngster from England and signed him on a four-year contract. The Bianconeri boss threw him in the deep end very quickly in a midfield consisting of Andrea Pirlo, Claudio Marchiso and Arturo Vidal - all of whom he could use to gather experience as a professional footballer.

    He will later on, no doubt, make a massive mark on the Serie A as one the most outstanding and skillful players in Italy - his 40-yard screamer again Udinese his stand out moment so far. That was the goal that put him on the map and ultimatley make him one of the most sought after players in Europe.

    Just recently, Juventus played Lazio in the Supercoppa Italia in Rome, and Pogba came on as a substitute and sparked the crowd into absolute turmoil - the 20-year-old scored the first goal in the cup to start the demolition of the Roman side. A cross from Stephan Lichsteiner found Pogba before the bullish midfielder span around inside the box and fizzed the ball behind Lazio keeper Federico to put the champions ahead.

    Eventually the Turin side went on and absolutely annihilated the opposition in the second half, in a game which finished 4-0 and would see Juventus claim the Supercoppa title.

    The Frenchman has represented his country on two occasions but is yet to score. However, who knows how many he will score in next years world cup in Rio?
