Why Tottenham man could light up Madrid

Spanish giants Real Madrid could be well under way of scooping the Welsh sensation Gareth Bale from English side Tottenham Hotspur.

The 24-year-old attacker has expressed his intention to leave White Hart Lane and join the Spanish side. The deal is worth around £90 million and could well be the most expensive transfer in the window for the English Premier league.

The Welsh star has been plying his trade at Tottenham for the past seven seasons and has always played a big part in the team as being one the main attacking options for coach Andres Villas-Boas. He has been on the score-sheet on over 40 occasions and has played a total of 146 matches.

Real Madrid, if they do capture Bale will blend in very well and connect with Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and co. The departure of Argentine Gonzalo Higuain to Napoli has left a gap in the attacking region and the Tottenham man could well fit the gap and provide more intensity to the squad.

On the international front, Bale has been playing for his country in a total of 41 matches and has scored 11 goals. In my opinion, if Bale does leave for Madrid, it will create transfer opportunities for the club with a phenomenal transfer budget to attract good quality players and be in contention to fight for the English Premier Title.
