Where will former Liverpool target ply his trade next season?

Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda has been subject to a number of rumours over the past few years, but due to him being tucked away in that remote Russian league, here in England we only get to hear about the playmaker when an English sniff around the peroxide roots of the Honda.

So let’s break it down to where he might be playing and more importantly will be an integral part. AC Milan are seen as favourites this summer’s favourites and for a player who is more than a flavour of the week. A cornerstone of the Japanese and CSKA midfield for many years now, the golden boy of Japan football may well be plying his trade in Italy, England or any of the top European leagues come the big kick off.

Last year he could well of ended up playing for Liverpool, The Reds had a rumoured interest in him, but just like so many of these rumours, he obviously didn’t rock up on the shores of the Mersey, but low and behold, he may be doing just that, but for the blue half of Liverpool. For Everton this may well be a decent signing for Martinez’s team, Everton are on the dawn of a new horizon and a signing like Honda would usher in a new era, plus Martinez will need to get fans on side too. As it looks it does seem Milan will be the most likely of destinations for the midfielder and for AC, this again will be a fantastic signing, for a Milan side on the wane, the lure of the San Siro. CSKA best hurry up and get a fee arranged or face losing him on a free.
