Swansea target moves closer, but is he suited to them?

Bony’s potential move to Swansea is edging closer for what’s reported as a £10.2 million move, but is the Ivorian right for Swansea? His 37 goals in 36 games would certainly suggest so.

Top scorer in Holland last season with a total of 31 goals in 30 appearances does scream 'buy me' to the cream of the crop of Europe, but free scoring strikers haven’t always had it their way when adapting to a further challenging league. For every Ruud van Nistelrooy there’s a Mateja Kezman and for every Luis Suarez there’s a failure like Afonso Alves.  Holland’s Eredivisie has always been a breeding ground and a hot bed for talent and Bony is the latest overseas talent to shine.

The question we should be posing to ourselves is will the striker fit the passing style of Swansea? The meticulous short, patient passing won’t surely see him surpass his goal tally for last season.  Also with Michu being such a good front man, him and Bony, their goals on paper at this point would ideally be shared and be a perfect fit, but all too often football doesn’t work on paper does it? That being said Swansea did struggle at times to share the burden, so a partner for Michu, would be welcomed by the majority, even the Spaniard himself.

Vitesse are currently seeing better times, mainly with Bony spearheading the attack, his goals have being integral for them, but there are other feathers to their boa. Marco Van Ginkel is apparently being courted by Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea, he alongside Bony are absolute key to Vitesse’s rise up the table, with two top ten finishes in the past two seasons, the most recent a top four finish, but what Vitesse’s loss, is Swansea’s gain.
