Why Manchester United forward could be perfect Luis Suarez replacement (Video)

While some players coming from leagues, even within Europe, take a season or two to adapt to the English Premier League, the plucky Mexican Javier Hernandez seems to have been born for it. In the 2010-2011 season, his first, he scored a stunning 20 goals in all competitions for Manchester United. The arrival of Danny Welbeck from the youth team the following season and that of Shinji Kagawa and Ex-Gooner Robin van Persie in the 2012-2013 season resulted in limited appearances for ‘Chicharito’. Yet he still managed a credible 18 goals in all competitions despite coming on from the bench in many games.

In national colours he has been prolific as well. Mexico had to pack their bags from Brazil earlier than they would have wanted but Chicharito lived up to his reputation, scoring two goals. Both were headed goals, making light of his modest 5 ft 9 inch frame. His movement in the box and knack for being in the right place at the right time are his key assets.

And now it is rumoured Brendan Rodgers wants to add the ‘Little Pea’ to his youthful Liverpool squad. Surely the 25-year-old is tired of playing trusty sidekick to RVP. Surely he would be the perfect cover if the snarling Luis Suarez acts on his disenchantment with life at Anfield. The perfect partner for Daniel Sturridge up front.
