Former Hammer could be thrown a Premier League lifeline (video)

It was reported today in The Sun that Former West Ham striker Carlton Cole could be offered a return to top flight football with Hull City just a month after being released by the Hammers.

Cole has made over 200 appearances for West Ham since joining them from Chelsea in 2006 and has since become a club legend and a cult hero. He has always stayed loyal to the London club as he proved in 2012 when he took a 50% pay cut to stay at with the team following the play-off final victory over Blackpool.

Over the years he has scored some brilliant goals for them including some very important ones, however with the arrival of Andy Carroll at the club from Liverpool Cole has found himself being surplus to requirements at Upton Park and subsequently been released.

Steve Bruce feels that he could revive the big strikers career in the Premier League though as he looks to bolster his strike force to try and keep his side in the top flight following their promotion. Cole would be a good fit for Hull city as he is big and strong and would be able to lead the line playing as a target man for the Tigers which is what Hull’s system requires.

There are also rumours that Cole is also wanted by Harry Redknapp at QPR but that would mean he would have to play in the Championship but if he wants to stay in London that could be an ideal option for him.

Wherever he ends up you can be certain that Cole will be determined to give 100% to try and prove himself and hopefully for him he can find himself a club where he can get back to his best form.
