Arsenal forward the interest of European giants (video)

There is something in the water in north London that  seems to make Arsenal struggle in at least one aspect of the beautiful game these days. If it is not the fans wanting Arsene Wenger out of the club it is players being rumoured with an exit, and it is the latter that the Sun are reporting today.

Lukas Podolski could be on his way out of the Emirates this summer with the likes of Borussia Dortmund tracking his movements in close proximity. The German giants will have to trade blows with Atletico Madrid should they want to secure a deal, although as Podolski has played 109 times for Germany and spent the majority of his career in his homeland a move to this year's Champions League runner up may appeal more to him.

Gunners will be sad to see him leave, if a deal dose suffice, but the £70m that the gaffer has reportedly been given to spend may soften the blow a bit.

Dortmund have some extra funds after losing Mario Gotze to Bayern Munich and are desperate to bolster their frontline as goal-gobbler Robert Lewandowski is supposedly on his way out.

Arsenal chiefs will be working out how they can throw Marouane Chamakh into the deal without the potential suitors realising.
