Liverpool defender could be loaned to Premier League side - statistics

In a season which saw Brendan Rodgers introduce a number of youngsters into the Liverpool first team, Raheem Sterling, Jonjo Shelvey and Suso to name a few, but there is one man that has been tipped to have an enormous future at the club. The man I refer to is Andre Wisdom, who has shown glimpses of brilliance in the Premier League. However, after making just 12 appearances last term, the Mirror are reporting that Fulham are interested in taking him on a season-long loan in order to bolster their backline and the Reds seems keen on the deal as a way of offering him more first team action in the topflight.

Wisdom implemented Rodgers' desire for passing brilliantly and completed the season with an 89% pass success but also showed his more robust side and made an average of five defensive actions per game.

The former Bradford youth player is as happy playing at right-back as he is in a more central role, but it is the latter that he is expected to take up as he settles into the Liverpool set-up.

He won 26/29 of his tackles, 100% of his take-ons and 59% of his headed duels, which aren't stats usually associated with young defenders, but with Martin Jol's history with nurturing youngsters and Fulham's delicate defence a move could benefit all parties.
