Manchester United reveal man they want to replace Ferguson

The Manchester United hierarchy have got their eyes on Jurgen Klopp to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at the Old Trafford helm when he finally decides to step down, according to the Mirror.

The United chiefs are incredibly impressed with the way he has reshaped Borussia Dortmund over the last few years and Fergie himself has also given him the nod to take his hot-seat.

Klopp has burst onto our screens of late after guiding BVB to two Bundesliga titles and most recently taking the club to the Champions League final in London after dismantling Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid.

Although Fergie has no immediate plans of stepping down as United boss after clinching a 20th league title with the club, Klopp's phone number is ready and waiting for when he decides to call it a day.

Other names that have been brandished for the Old Trafford manager job are Everton's David Moyes, who has worked miraculously under tight budgets. Martin O'Neill *snigger*, whose old-school train of thought was said to have been what the United chiefs were looking for. Pep Guardiola, who has now put pen to paper to take over Europe's dominent force at present Bayern Munich. And also, Jose Mourinho, who looks all but certain to return to Stamford Bridge this summer to take over at Chelsea.

Still, if Klopp doesn't fancy the job maybe Mark Hughes is the man, eh? He's always available.
