European club set to offer massive money for Manchester United ace

We have all heard the debate about the amount of money that professional footballers are on and how it makes our blood boil, and the reports that Paris Saint-Germain are ready to offer a deal for Wayne Rooney worth a monumental £100m won't do much to cool your temperature. The deal is said to be £40m as the transfer fee and £15m-a-year AFTER tax.

    AFTER TAX?!

The four-year deal would surely be enough to tempt the Rooney family to the French capital and it is likely that Manchester United will accept the offer, so will we be seeing the chubby striker in a beret this summer? Well, maybe if they can get one that fits...

The move is on the back of eccentric target man Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaving the club in the coming months and an attempt to replace his goals for the team. Going from a tall, lean scoring machine to a short stubby troll with an anger issue may not be the most direct swap, but they are both handy in front of goal.

Rooney is now 27 years of age and needs to secure a starting spot in his preferred position of centre-forward, which is unlikely to happen at Old Trafford, and unfortunately we will have to put up with these sort of rumours until he ties down a move.

IF the PSG rumour is to be believed... and I gather it has been refuted ... then selling Rooney and banking £40M should not even have to be considered, it should be taken immediately!!!
Rooney at 27yo is not going to get any better and with his current attitude being 'I am am the star at United not you RVP' to sell him now would relieve the wage bill of £250,000 per week and make money available to sign someone younger and who can score more goals than he has been doing.
Rooney has asked for a transfer once and has now asked again but not made it in writing, obviously that means he wants out and as I say, IF PSG want him then au revoir Wayne!
No player is bigger than the club and for one whose head is bigger than his ability then there is little if any room for anyone like that at OT!
